Cases for B2B-application have almost without exception a printing. Besides the digital printing, there is the screen printing. The screen printing process is also referred to as stencil printing process.

The production process:

To prepare this printing process, a screen is clamped in a printing frame and a screen emulsion is applied on both sides. The fabric meshes in the screen are soaked with the screen emulsion. The printing side is always laminated first. On the opposite side, the “squeegee side“, the screen emulsion is applied several times to level out the uneven structure of the fabric meshes. There are so-called direct stencils that can remain on the screen during the entire printing process to cover certain parts and thus leave them out. Another technique is the so-called indirect stencil on the surface of which a motif or logo is applied in black ink, which is then placed on the print side. Then the print frame and the stencil are exposed to UV radiation to destroy the copy layer that is not covered with black ink. Afterwards, these parts can be removed. The print frame with the stencil recesses can be used for printing after drying. During the printing process, the ink is applied to the stencil and pressed through the screen onto the printed object underneath with a squeegee. Screen prints are UV-resistant, water-resistant and have a goodprice-performance ratio.

A minimum purchase amount of 100 prints is sensible from the point of view of economic efficiency. The initial costs for screen production as well as machine setup are incurred once for the motif to be printed. Different colours can be printed in the screen printing process.
