descriptions of the term:

Injection-moulded cases

Injection-moulded cases are plastic cases manufactured in a special production process – the injection moulding technology. Many items that are used in daily life are manufactured with the injection moulding technology.

The production process:

For this method, plastic granulate is melted and injected through a nozzle into a form (tool).  The injection moulding technology has some advantageous features that enable the production of more complicated moulded parts as mass-produced articles. These features are:

  • the direct way from the raw material to the moulded part,
  • no or less post-processing of the moulded part is required,
  • production through a fully-automatized technique,
  • high reproducibility of the production.

The application:

Cases that are produced with injection moulding technology are characterised by a good price-performance ratio. They are ideal for sales and presentation.
